NIMBOCHROMIS LIVINGSTONII

Nimbochromis Livingstonii :
This fish has very interesting coloration, the best way to describe it is military camoflage. It is another large hunter of Malawi Lake, however, its feeding pattern is extremely interesting. When hungry, the Nimbochromis Livingstonii sinks to bottom on its side. Other fish assume they have a quick snack from a dead fish, but once they approach, unaware, the N. Livingstonii "comes to life" and ends up being the one with a full stomach. This has falsely led many to believe that the name "Livingstonii" come from "Living Stone" as it usually lies on rocky areas. Although an amusing story, the truth is that this fish was Dicovered by the famous Dr. Livingston. (Dr. Livingston I resume?...yes that one!)
