Billing - FAQ

Can I activate my BooNet account over the Internet? If you sign-up online and choose to pay with a credit card or electronic check, your account will be ready right away. If you prefer to pay by check, you will be contacted by a customer service representative who will activate your account. You can also call  any time during the hours of 8am-10pm Monday through Friday, at 877-874-4266 for instant activation. 

When do I get my first bill?

You will receive a welcome package in a few days. Your invoice will be included in this package. 

Once I sign up, how long does it take before I can use BooNet?

Once you receive confirmation that your selected username and password is available from either the online signup program or from one of our customer representatives, your BooNet account will be setup and activated within 10 minutes. 

How often will I be billed?

You will be billed at the end of your paid service. Depeding on the pricing plan you select, you may be billed as often as once a month or as little as once every three years. Click here to view our pricing plans.  At any time, if your account is current, you may select any of the BooNet pre-payment options or pay monthly by check, electronic check, or by credit card. 

Is there a setup fee?

No. There are no additional fees to sign up with BooNet.

Do you provide software?

Yes. We provide fully licensed versions of Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, and Eudora Email for the Macintosh or the PC. 

If I already have another provider, can I use BooNet for email only?

Yes. We do offer an email only service. You can call us at 877-874-4266 for details, and to arrange for service.

Do you have roaming?

BooNet is a regional Internet Service Provider. We currently provide service in the Washington, DC metro areas, Baltimore, Richmond, Norfolk, Delaware, and areas of Pennsylvania. If you are local to BooNet and wish to check email from outside the area, we can accommodate that request via web based mail at http://webmail.boo.net.  For more information, please call us at 877-874-4266 for details. 

Why do I want to use BooNet?

BooNet offers excellent service at very competitive prices. We think that once you start, you'll wish you joined sooner. BooNet maintains a customer to modem ratio of 6 to 1. What this means is that you can get on when you want to. Combined with our low prices, we can't understand why you'd want to use anyone else! 

Can I pay by Credit Card?

Yes you can pay for your BooNet internet service with either a Mastercard or Visa.  Unfortunately, at this time BooNet can only accept payments for monthly charges and past due amounts.  BooNet can set up your account to be charged against your credit card each month.  This saves on postage and effort!  Your account will always be current.

Where can I send my check for services?

Don't forget to write your account name/number on your check and then mail it to BooNet, Inc., 808 Priscilla Street, Salisbury, MD 21804.
